In compliance with the National Association of Free Clinics ByLaws this is an electronic notice of a face to face meeting of the organizations members on October 18, 2011 during the NAFC Annual Summit in Charlotte, North Carolina. August 15, 2011 - The National Association of Free Clinics (NAFC) has placed a digital advertisement in Times Square in an effort to spread the word about Free Clinics and how people can get involved. The ad will start running today, August 15th and will continue through September 30th on the CBS “Super Screen,” a 26’ x 20’ foot screen on 42nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenues in New York City. The NAFC is a finalist in a Pepsi grant competition for a $250,000 grant to bring a C.A.R.E. Clinic to another U.S. State. This is a great opportunity to fund another clinic that will help increase the awareness of free clinics, provide free medical care to hundreds of uninsured people, and connect them to area safety net providers.
